Rules ******************************************** Section 1: Definitions ******************************************** 1.1 Player A person who has access to an Ultime Online account and using it to play a character shall henceforth be known as a player. 1.2 Staff Volunteers who include Counselors, Seers, Game Masters, Administrators and Developers easily identified by their job title in front of their name. Such volunteers shall henceforth be known as staff. 1.3 Harassment Abuse, threatening or otherwise violating the legal rights (such as rights in privacy and publicity) of others. Publishing, posting, uploading, distributing or disseminating any inappropriate, profane, defamatory, infringing, obcsene, indecent or unlawful topic, name, material or information shall henceforth be known as harassment. 1.4 Non Player Character (NPC) A character generated that is run on scripts by the server and not actively controlled by a player shall henceforth be known as an NPC. 1.5 Player Killer (PK) The attacking of another player, willing or not, shall henceforth be known as PK. 1.6 Res-Killing The death of another player a lot of time in a short period and caused by players, willing or not shall henceforth be known as res-killing. ******************************************** Section 2: General Rules ******************************************** 2.1 Harassment Harassment is strictly prohibited. Violating this rule may result in permanent termination of your account. 2.2 Paging Staff is available at all times of the day to aid you with any problems or concerns you may have. Do not page with threatening pages, profanity or obscene and graphic language. 2.3 Bugs Cheating or deliberately using game bugs to disrupt the game is considered a violation of the rules. If you learn a bug, notify the staff immediately. 2.4 Banned Accounts Do not allow players who have been banned from Fantasia to access your account. Such a violation will result in the permanent termination of the account. ******************************************** Section 3: Player Activities ******************************************** 3.1 The NPC's Attacking invulnerable NPC, bringing invulnerable NPC into a player owned house is prohibited. 3.2 The Houses Entering another player's house through a means other that the use of the house's key and taking items from the house is prohibited. 3.3 Killing Res-killing is a whole bunch of kills and unnecessary. Attacking is prohibited into Minoc Mines and Trinsic. 3.4 Blocking/Walling No blocking/walling players, houses, corpses, gates, doors and/or entrances. Such violation is prohibited. 3.5 Gate If you enter a gate you take the risk. Staff will not offer help for such actions. 3.6 Fighting It is prohibited to spar/macro with above eight different NPC's and/or players. ******************************************** Section 4: Staff Activities ******************************************** 4.1 Replacing Lost Items Staff members cannot replace lost items, skills or anything else lost due to anything but a bug. 4.2 Adaptability Due to complex situations arising from a dynamic environment such as a multiplayer world, the staff reserves the right to alter the rules in order to accomodate for new situations that may arise in the course of gameplay. ******************************************** Section 5: Chain of Punishment ******************************************** 5.1 Minor Offenses You will be notified of what you have done wrong and/or disconnected from Fantasia and issued a warning that shall be stored in your account file. Repeat offenses will get you jailed for a period of time between one and fourth days and shall receive another warning stored in your account file. 5.2 Medium Offenses You will be jailed for a period of time between one and fourth days and shall receive a warning stored into your account file. Repeat offenses will get you jailed for a period of time between fourth and nine days and shall receive another warning stored into your account file. 5.3 Serious Offenses Particularly serious violations can result in extended jail time or permanent termination of your account, without warning. ******************************************** Section 6: Message Board Rules ******************************************** These are the rules that you will need to follow in order to have the privileges of posting messages on the FS-Community board: We will not tolerate any abuse of the message board. A lot is allowed however, failure to follow these rules will result in your account being banned from the message board. 6.1 Post of an explicit sexual, racial, discriminating, excessive foul language, harrassment and/or derogatory in nature are inappropriate and will be deleted. Depending on the nature of the post, it could get you banned. 6.2 Posts attacking Fantasia staff will be deleted. While opinions and criticisms are welcome, verbal abuse is not. You also stand the chance of being banned. 6.3 Links and/or downloads not from FantasiaShard.com will get deleted. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonnable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
